ABOUT MICKEY
The Caller Behind
The Music
Michael Braithwaite — known to dancers everywhere as Mickey — has been calling square dances since the beginning of the 1980s.
In 1995 he turned professional — one of the few full time callers in Europe. He was the first caller to perform in Croatia, and the first European caller booked for an event in Japan.
He also leads the Bavarian Caller School, nurturing the next generation of square dance callers.
A member of the ECTA since 1983 and of CALLERLAB since 1993, he currently serves on the CALLERLAB Board of Governors.
